Amber Ellis has represented large healthcare systems, ambulatory surgery centers, small practices and individual practitioners during her nearly 20 years of experience as an attorney. She specializes in healthcare regulatory work, transactions, contracting, employment matters, governance, training, compliance, and risk mitigation. Her lengthy experience and deep knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws allow her to quickly spot legal issues and propose potential solutions to common challenges facing healthcare providers and organizations.
In addition to her healthcare regulatory work, Amber has many years’ experience pursuing and defending civil cases on behalf of clients through jury trial in both state and federal court. This familiarity with the litigation process allows her to identify pragmatic solutions to legal concerns while mitigating unique risks that may arise in the courtroom. She has represented individual clients while in private practice, government agencies and elected officials while a government attorney, and healthcare corporations as in-house counsel.
Amber’s practice includes providing legal assistance in creating operational processes for subpoenas and records requests, document retention, contract template development and workflow refinement, direct negotiation of contracts, licensing and accreditation support and survey assistance. Her focus on simplifying legal advice and support allows her clients to spend less time reviewing statutes and regulations and more time providing patient care.
Amber graduated cum laude with her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law.
